Sally Eckert
Sally Eckert has owned and operated her own commissioned art business for over 25 years in Boulder Colorado and nationally. Sally has won and painted serval public murals in Boulder. Sally worked as a designer in New York City before moving to Boulder in 1992 to start her own commissioned art business. Sally owns and operates an art space in the Holiday Neighborhood of North Boulder. She was pivotal in creating the NOBO Art District near her studio. She has taught at CU in the Environmental Design Department and has hosted numerous events and art happenings at her gallery.
Sally received a BFA in Environmental Design from Parsons School of Art and Design in New York. She has been trained in a 400-year-old Dutch Master Technique in egg tempura and has provided hand painted furniture, canvas and commissioned work for people across the country.
Locally, she has been awarded public murals by both Thistle Housing, Boulder Housing Partners and the City of Nederland Colorado.
In addition, Sally is president of Boulder Art Matrix 501 c3 which has helped amend the Boulder Comprehensive Plan. As well as win the DRKOG grant for the NOBO Art District to create a vision plan to ensure its future.
Sally also is the president of Little Red Hen Charitable Foundation. She helps donate to under recognized and small nonprofits to help establish themselves.
